Egegik
Thank you for your interest in working for Icicle Seafoods' Egegik plant. We are primarily a salmon canning and fresh / frozen operation in Egegik, a small village located on the shores of the Egegik River in the region of Alaska known as Bristol Bay.
The salmon season generally runs from June through August. Following is some
additional information you may need:

The hiring process for this location is handled by the Western Alaska operations.
Dining
Our mess hall provides food service virtually around the clock to satisfy
your hunger needs, free of charge. Our fine staff serves breakfast, lunch,
dinner and sometimes a midnight meal in our mess hall. Our staff strives to
prepare meals that are enjoyed by all. A varied menu of meats and vegetables to
rice and noodles, as well as fresh fruits and baked goods will keep you
energized for the hard work!
Transportation
We will provide round trip airfare from Seattle, WA to our facility in
Egegik. Please note that if you are terminated for cause or quit you will be
responsible for your own transportation costs to leave Egegik.
What to Bring
Clothing should be appropriate for a wet, cold climate. Temperatures
generally stay between 50 and 65 degrees, and we get a substantial amount of
rain. We supply blankets and linens for use in the bunkhouse. We suggest you bring
enough of your own toiletries, personal hygiene items for three months. You
should also bring a wind-up or battery operated alarm clock. You must bring with
you a three month supply of any prescription medicine you are currently taking.
Icicle Seafoods will not be responsible for lost or stolen items.
The Egegik General Store has a limited, yet wide ranging, assortment of
sundries should you need to make small purchases. You may find soda, candy,
snack food, soft serve ice cream, and an assortment of clothing, rain gear,
tobacco products.
