Location: Petersburg Fisheries a division of Icicle Seafoods Inc. Position: Cold Storage Refrigeration Operator/Maintenance Description: Responsible for repairs and maintenance of plant equipment and machinery as assigned. Responsible for the “Safe”, and efficient operation and maintenance of the plants refrigeration system, under the direct guidance of the “Chief Engineer”. Ensure that all company standards in terms of policy and safety are met. Desire to advance. Responsibilities: • Assist with the operation of 1650 HP ammonia system including repairs and maintenance of refrigeration equipment, condensers, compressors, air units, etc. • Repair and maintenance of cold storage processing equipment, production line set-ups, blast freezers, holding rooms, ice machines, scales, etc. • Assure knowledge of the “safety” and “health” hazards of ammonia. • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: • Licenses and Certificates-Operation and training. • General maintenance and repairs background. • Welding and fabrication ability. • Electrical experience preferred. • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment. • Ability to work seven days a week, overtime and various shifts during the peak seasons. • Experience in the fishing industry preferred. • Must be a team player with good people skills. • Must have a good work ethic. • Non smoker preferred. • Must have a valid drivers license. • Must have your own tools.
