Adak
Thank you for your interest in working for Icicle Seafoods' Adak plant.
Adak is an island near the western end of the Aleutian Islands
and is Alaska's most southern town. The island has a land area of
275 square miles, making it the 25th largest Island in the United
States.
While there are many ground fish species delivered to and processed at Adak, the
most notable is Cod, which is frozen and distributed to customers around the
globe. The Cod season begins in January and this plant is open year round.
How to Apply
The hiring process for this location is handled by the Western Alaska operations.
Transportation
We will provide round trip airfare from Seattle, WA to our facility in
Adak. Please note that if you are terminated for cause or quit you will be responsible for your own transportation costs to leave Adak.
What to Bring

Clothing should be appropriate for a wet, cold climate. Temperatures generally
stay between 50 and 65 degrees, and we get a substantial amount of rain. We
supply blankets and linens for use in the bunkhouse. We suggest you bring
enough of your own toiletries, personal hygiene items for three months. You should also bring a wind-up or battery operated
alarm clock. You must bring with you a three month supply of any prescription medicine you are currently taking. Icicle Seafoods will not be responsible for lost or stolen
items.
